Reduced Resources
Service - 21-25 July

Due to staff leave, the Resources Service will
be running at a reduced level for one week in July - the week beginning
Monday 21st. The office will be mostly empty during that
week so certain facilities will not work or be at a reduced level.

New
Feeding Leaflet - Your Baby

There is a new leaflet available produced by
the Food Standards Agency, called "Your Baby - Feeding
your baby in the first year".
It gives the latest up-to-date advice on everything
from initial feeding on breast milk or milk formula, right on to
weaning on to solids.

Week - Make a Change, Make a Difference

Child Safety Week is an annual campaign run
by the Child Accident Prevention Trust.
This year's campaign "Make a Change, Make
a Difference" emphasises that even small changes in our lives
can make a big improvement to children's safety. Posters and leaflets
are available for the campaigns and can be ordered from the CAPT
website.

National Falls
Awareness Day - 24th June
9 May 2008
NFAD (National Falls Awareness Day) is run
each year by Help the Aged.
The theme for 2008 is 'Stepping
Out',
and the main messages are:
- Falls are not an inevitable part of
getting older
- Acting now can prevent problems in the future
- Everyone
can actively improve their strength and balance
- It's important
to involve all older people, including those not always reached
by existing services

Health Conference
Good Sex, Safe Sex - promoting safety, pleasure

a conference on sexual health, bringing together the most influential
people working in sexual health nationally.
The speakers will:
- stimulate thinking and encourage reflection on existing practice
- provide an overview of new and current evidence and the views
of young people
- discuss their work with young people on sex, gender, sexuality
and contraception and provide practical ideas for your work

New Collection
Point in Windsor
King Edward VII Hospital

The Resources Service has recently arranged
a new collection and return point at King Edward VII Hospital in
Windsor, which will be of use to their users in the Windsor area
that don't have direct access to the NHS Internal Post.
