RESUSCITATION TRAINING

TO FIRST AIDERS AT SCHOOLS
Are you up to date with your resuscitation/anaphylaxis training?

If you are interested in updating your skills,
the following training is available:

  • ADULT BASIC LIFE SUPPORT
  • CHILDREN BASIC LIFE SUPPORT
  • ANAPHYLAXIS (ALLERGIC REACTIONS)
  • AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATION

Paul McEndoo, Resuscitation Specialist for Berkshire East Primary Care Trust, provides practical training at your own convenience.

Healthy Schools highly recommend StayWise, a web-based learning tool.Staywise logo

 

 

StayWise aims to provide a comprehensive teaching resource promoting safety in everyday situations in stimulating and engaging ways. It aims to link services, agencies and the public sector, to ensure an effective approach to learning.

StayWise supports interactive learning by presenting opportunities for educational visits and classroom involvement with external contributors, using focused lesson plans and activities that are delivered by members of the emergency services.

Berkshire Health Promotion Resources

A free lending library and supply service that supports anyone in Berkshire involved in health promotion work. They provide access to training materials and equipment such as videos, teaching packs, books, CD-Roms, models and much more. They also have a supply of posters and leaflets.

The service is mail-order and their entire library is available to view on-line at www.bhps.org.uk/resources. You can also check availability of items and make bookings.

The School Food Trust has issued "A guide to introducing the Government's new food-based standards for school lunches"

The guide covers the interim food-based standards for school lunches and is an interpretation of what the standards will mean - it comes with a free poster highlighting the changes.
